Empowering Students Through Internship at Thaimai Anbu Karangal

Thaimai Anbu Karangal - Mentally Challenged Children Home

Thaimai Anbu Karangal, a mentally challenged children’s home in Salem, actively encourages internship opportunities for students to gain practical exposure in special education. Recently, final-year B.Com students from Government Arts College, Salem participated in a three-day internship program at our center.

During the program, our experienced staff guided the students on understanding the behavior of children with intellectual disabilities and effective training methods. The sessions included both theoretical explanations and practical observations, helping students gain meaningful insights. The interns showed great interest and compassion while interacting with the children.

At the end of the program, all participants successfully submitted their reports and were awarded certificates, marking the completion of their internship experience.
